Does 1975-1980 Escort Escort/Van deserve "Mk II" code? I doubt. It was just facelifted Mk I truly. |

I know what you mean, 130rapid, but it's not quite that simple. The facelift involved changing all the sheet metal ahead of the scuttle, and (although I'm not sure about this - it's nearly thirty years since I've driven either of them) I think the Mk.II wagon had a Mk.II facia. Also IIRC the Mk.II had 13" wheels like the sedan, but the Mk.I had 12" - and that's just the external differences. |
