dsl ◊ 2010-09-24 20:09	From "Ford Escort Mk1" book by Graham Robson who usually knows his stuff. Escorts FEV 5H, 6H, 7H and 8H were all officially Twin Cams and used as Twin Cams. However 5H and 8H were fitted with RS 1600 engines for individual events, after which they reverted to Twin Cams. FEV 5H won the 1970 1000 Lakes rally as a Twin Cam driven by Mikkola/Palm and the 1970 Circuit of Ireland as an RS 1600 driven by Clark/Porter. [I'm beginning to wish I'd never started this now - is anyone still awake???]. Summary - call this a Twin Cam and not an RS. -- Last edit: 2012-05-24 13:58:07
