With those wheels not MTTN? |

What do you mean, that those are not trilexes? RT had such wheels too, RT and MT were produced in parallel (well since time when MT was introduced of course). |

http://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%A0koda_706 (after translation) RT: "By the end of 1970 created a total of 90,000 cars, but has receded modern production type series Škoda 706 MT and a whole new range of Liaz 100 . However, even in 1984 created 2,390 units and in 1985, 825 cars Škoda 706 RT. Tens or more units are then assembled cars on and even in the early 90 years have built several cars from the past and newly manufactured parts." MT: "Since the early 60th years of development and construction LIAZ busily preparing for the emergence of an entirely new series Liaz 100 . Been designed and tested a completely new axles, engines, chassis components, etc. However, some construction work and technology (and accessories) failed to catch up to the timely delivery and, for example, even in 1966 was where and what to produce new cab (whose development scrubbed ) or frames. A whole new M630 series engines have been prepared in the production, as well as new axle. So the only logical solution was to introduce a stopgap - Elements Series 706 RT (frame and cab) to add the new drive components (engine, transmission and axle). (...) By autumn 1978 were produced 41 300 cars of 706 MT and on production continued as late as 1984 it was produced at 18,700 units and in 1988 then 1756 units. Production of type 706 RT and 706 MT and ended virtually simultaneously." |

Yes, I read it in the past here or at the Liaz fanpage. RT with "new" wheels: Link to "www.ebay.co.uk" -- Last edit: 2012-09-25 01:45:48 |

Then what? New axle and old engine? Or what? Because if that truck had new engine and new axle, can't be RTTN... From what year is that brochure? |

With b/w pics and such design from the 60s I bet. Yes, very possible that they didn't change wheels/axles together with MT intro., but earlier. Also the comment here somehow suggest this. Edit: another RT w/o trilexes, this time for sure very old: Link to "www.ebay.pl" And of the MT range with(!) trilex wheels: Link to "www.ebay.com" But ok, in last case, it is also possible they used pic of the older model to the brochure (for some reasons - happens sometimes). Of course the truck in film can be also an MTTN, like I wrote in my first comment, but we rather need to find a different "difference". -- Last edit: 2012-09-25 02:04:12 |

Wasn't MT a version with short cab? |
◊ 2012-09-25 15:26 |
MT was the only version with short cab to my knowledge (and I always list them this way), but it was also available with the long one. |
