I think we list all of them as AM General since they were the same company through mergers and telling the year is almost impossible. This truck is the bigger 5 ton version of the 2.5 ton M35, but I always forget what this version is called.

The 5 ton are called M39 Séries
But, in this M39 Series, you can find ,different models: M39 ,M40, M41 ......
This one could be a M54 (cargo body)
