Strange bagde,FIAT form front and untypical indicators, like from FSO cars,so about 1982 model, but 100% not Polish zastava.I think this version was named 101. |

Zastava 101 indeed with not original front of 1973/74 Fiat 128. In films of Zf. Skurcz was usually Zastava 1100p customized in the same way. I guess these indicators are not originial too. The 1982 had different bumpers, these are of the old type. -- Last edit: 2010-05-14 19:23:46 |

About indicators-These indicators was mainly used in younger versions, named Scala, but are used also in older versions like that 101,since about end of 70' or early 80'.In 3rd series of 128 since about 1977. -- Last edit: 2010-05-14 20:54:35 |

The 1980 Zastava 128 could have them, as it had main indicators in the bumper (well, like Fiat since 1977). The hatchback hovewer, as it was mentioned, had old "corner" indicators till 1982. I personally never seen a pre-1982 101/1100 with repeaters of this type. It usually had a small round ones. Do you have a pic? Not original Police car to me. Not only by the "Police", but also by the color. By what I've seen (and what we have on the site), it should be light-blue. -- Last edit: 2010-05-14 22:36:56 |

some zastava 101 sold in yugoslavia in 1972 and 1973 had fiat 128 front panel nad grill from mk2 model(probably it is italian model fiat 128 B1) |

Is Sedan correct? Not Hatchback? |
◊ 2011-08-07 14:30 |
ingo's right. A sedan would resemble a Fiat 128 much more. |
◊ 2011-08-07 14:32 |
The film was made in Yugoslavia, so is this a Fiat 128 or, as crank mentioned, a Zastava 101 with a Fiat 128 grille? |
◊ 2011-08-07 15:22 |
Was there ever a Fiat 128 with this unique Zastava-Hatchback-styling? I don't think so. The only Fiat-named Typ 101, we have here, was just a renamed Zastava for the Finnish market: /vehicle_157925-Fiat-128-Z-101-1972.html So Zastava, origin YU, is correct here (reinforced by the fact, that this scene was filmed in YU). The original Fiat-grille means nothing It's very easy to change, just a few screws. Mybe they did it for fun, maybe because randomly a Fiat-part lies around there. |

To me Crank mentioned that it can be an Italian model, despite he rather knew where it was filmed. What was possible to understand from the linked site, it was version made for Italy and some stayed at home. The car here has Fiat alike badge. Of course it can be, that owner replaced the front, but since such factory version really existed... -- Last edit: 2011-08-07 16:09:19 |

this is zastava 101(fiat didn't have mark 101,it was fiat prototype marked x1/1 or 128 B1)grill is easy to change, but not front panel,it is welded.i metioned before, this is one serie of zastava 101 which had fiat front panel and grill.maybe that serie was assembled in italy.because zastava didn't have machine or license for making old italian front panel.. http://i53.tinypic.com/14cxqj9.jpg -- Last edit: 2011-08-10 08:49:07 |
