Bring it to America to fight the MINI, please. |

Hey how come this Audi doesn't have a chassis code like all the other models? |
◊ 2010-05-25 17:11 |
I've looked on Wikipedia (several different languages) and the chassis code doesn't appear to be known yet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_A1 |

The internal Designation for the Audi A1 is now finally Typ 8X, so should be added to all production A1s that we have on the site |

If you aren't a resident and use the car only for tourism or business trips, yes. P.S. How else should a vacation trip be possible? There are some Asian countries, where you need a local non-permanent visitor's plate, which were hanged over the regular ones. And for trips to Europe some plates have to be changed, too. For example the temporary green Iranian truck plates. Otherwise: sometimes you see cars with Arabian plates in Europe, mainly in the capital towns. In our plate-forum we have a thread "far away from home", where a bunch of them are listed. As Dubai- or Kuwait-cars in Berlin. Berlin is a good location for that. One guy from there contributes every few days new exotic plates. Last week he spotted a car from Wladivostok. A longer distance than the one Mongolian Landcruiser, or the Tadjikian Opel Vectra. Not to forget the Scooter from Argentina... -- Last edit: 2012-07-18 21:24:13 |

Is it a launch car with a factory plate? Product placement? |
◊ 2012-07-18 21:57 |
The series was made specifically to promote the A1. |

Of course, an Audi with an IN-plate. |

On the Autobahn A9 from Nürnberg to Munich, you can see loads of factory cars and prototypes from Audi and BMW. |

In late 1993 I've seen there a prototype of the BMW 316i compact. |

In April this year, I saw pre-production models of the BMW ActiveHybrid 3 and the new Audi A3. And in October 2011 have seen a test-vehicle of the new 3-Series F30 in a traffic jam. -- Last edit: 2012-07-19 21:49:41 |

On our local Autobahn, the A31, sometimes you can see Mercedes Benz-prototypes -always disguised with sponge-tapes and guttering camouflage paintwork- on their way to the test range in Papenburg. |

A good reason to have always a ready camera at hand. To make some money. Think about the tourist in N.Y. with his snapshot of /vehicle_2423-Mercedes-Benz-E-500-W211-2002.html |

Two hours ago, I saw a prototype 2014 BMW X5 [F40] in a heavy snowstorm |
