Opel's code name for the vehicle. GM-Europe's vehicles are identified by car-code/size similar to GM-North America's A, B, C, F, G, etc. 'S' was Corsa/Nova, 'T' was Kadett/Astra, 'U' (later 'J' because it became a GM-world car) was Ascona/Vectra/Cavalier 'V' was Rekord/Victor/Omega 'W' (later 'V-plus') was Senator. The number series was then assigned by model year. The first common program was V-1720 the 1972 Rekord/Victor. An example for the Astra (T-3000) http://newsfromrussia.com/comp/2003/03/18/44568.html - identification without using the model name which can change depending where its built or sold. |

We could put that as chassis code then? (but is it useful to include that info there?) |

To be of use I guess we would need all or at least most of the codes for the models up to the current year. So I would say not to use them curently unless I can confirm what they are. I have a certain amount of records but need to see how complete it is. |

Maintenant, est-ce qu'il est possible ainsi de distinguer une Opel Kadett C d'une Opel City? |

Its certainly a 2-door car and not 4-door. Probably difficult to say if its the City, 2-door sedan or coupe without seeing more. |

It is a 2 door sedan btw |
