Continental was still a separate brand for these models. If you look at the brochure, the Continental is never called a Lincoln, while the Premer and Capri are. Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.com" |

Yes, we have dealt with that here several times before. The same is true of the 1959 brochures. But in the 1960 editions, Ford calls them "Lincoln Continental". I think they list them all as Lincolns here to avoid confusion/ease of location for new users but you are technically correct. Which brings up an interesting issue? For consistancy, why don't we list all 1960 and 1961 Comets as Mercurys? |

I don't think that they should be separated simply for ease of use. They should be listed with accuracy being the primary concern. |
