So how about renaming all "series 60 special" to Fleetwood 60 Special?

:??: why? I am not sure that all Series 60 were Fleetwood... I won't do any change in that unless MrCadillac confirms it :D

Well, previously they were separate models, but in 1946 they joined and made Fleetwood 60 Special.

According a post that he made on hardware.fr forum, you are probably right.
MrCadillac said that since 1939 Series 60 Special = Fleetwood 60 Special (but this does not apply to "standard" Series 60).

Standard "Series 60" cars have nothing in commion with the up-market "Series 60 Special" [the latter is a completely DIFFERENT car]. Yes, antp, you can change "60 Special" to "Fleetwood 60 Special", since the latter model had a body and finish by Fleetwood. Note that BOTH coach-builders, "Fisher" AND "Fleetwood" belong to the GM group since the late twenties. It was only in 1964, however, that Cadillac began to designate specific, up-market models as belonging to the "Fleetwood" group (i.e. the Sixty-Spcial, Seventy-Five and Eldorado), to distinguish them from the lesser models in the range ("De Ville" being the mid-level models and "Calais" the entry-level cars). Hope this helps.

Thanks for the details ;)

I guess that it does not apply to /vehicle_8326-Cadillac-Series-60-Special-1941.html ? (as it is pre-1946)
