It is a Ferguson 35 and it was built before the merger of Ferguson with Massey-Harris in 1957. Hence it is Ferguson only, not Massey-Ferguson.

My sources say 1953-57 as Ferguson, but I have never seen one that was built before 1957. It then lived on as a Massey-Ferguson after the merger, but with different styling, until at least 1966.

This is not a Ferguson 35. You can see that it has a side valve engine so it must be a Ford-Ferguson - more commonly known as a Ford 9N - from 1939-42. http://www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/000/2/2/225-ford-9n.html

Ford 9N or 2N. Ferguson tractors after his split with Ford had horizontal grill bars and overhead valves. The hoods were similar but the Ford had the Art-Decco styling on the hood sides as this one does.
