Tere was no need to put an aftermarket bootlid on an AZLP (which had already a metallic bootlid) and there's no aluminium strip under the doors. Therefore I'd say this is a 1955+ AZ. The 'malle bombée' looks more like a Record than a Raoul. |

But it makes the boot also bigger. Or not? A friend of mine mounted such thing to her Charlestone (I admit, I find these modifications ugly ). |

Yes, it makes the boot bigger, but since you're only allowed to put 50 kgs luggage in it (it was written in the trunk like that...) there's no real need to have a bigger boot. Those protruding boot lids were sold especially for the 2CV with the canvas roof covering the thrunk which was quite inconvenient and rather dangerous regarding theft... |
