They were manufactured both in Detroit, Michigan, USA, and in Windsor, Ontario, Canada......From 1957 to 1959, the DeSoto Diplomat used the DeSoto Firesweep front clip with Plymouth body |

This is a 1958 DeSoto Diplomat Custom 4 door hardtop sedan ( LF3-M43).However I disagree with this car having necessarily been built in Canada .It is a Spanish setting and period DeSoto Diplomats were also built in European Chrysler assembly plants as in Antwerp and not only in Detroit or Windsor. |
