that is really strange the car was included in last update on exoticspotter, but now it disappeared - there was written something like - this is the XJ220 used in Gone in 60 seconds, currently imported from US to UK, has only 900 miles on odometer.. Photo was from UK. Pity |

If my management is not lying to me, then i eat lunch beside this car 5 days a week. In fact i cleaned this car today. I work at a Ford dealership owned by a multi millionaire. He collects many exotics and picked up this baby a year ago. The story checks out. We had it imported from the UK, but its left hand drive meaning it came from the US, and the paperwork with the car says it was used in Gone in 60 Seconds. Unfortunately this car is in a state of disrepair. It is in very good condition but things like some of the upholstery is coming unglued, and the car wont even start. I have no idea why they have been reluctant to fix it its probably something stupid like the starter or something electrical. Very nice car. Edit, forgot to mention it has 1200 miles on it now. -- Last edit: 2008-07-18 23:51:18 |

I must agree with canuck here. Speaking as a former technician (who worked on this vehicle) for a well known Jaguar dealer in the Toronto area, the car referred to as "Bernadine" is here in Canada owned by someone that does not want to repair the vehicle. WHAT A SHAME!!! There is one person on this planet that is entrusted by jaguar to look after these vehicles and his name is Don Law Based in England. I advised the client to send the car to england for the required repairs and he declined. again what a shame. The car does run presently thanks to me and had 1517kms on the odometer last time i saw it. ive got pics to prove it. The xj220 was #041 off the line and built in 1991 as a 1992 model year. what a lovely car to have seen. |

Maybe Jaguar, hating to see one of it's finest machines left dormant will fly the Don Law guy to fix it. Possibly for free. |

Was supposed to be a McLaren F1, but the movie producers couldn't borrow one. |
