Low ground clearance indicates 2-wheel-drive. Two suspension systems were available: Standard was a independent front suspension (IFS) with live rear axle and non-adaptive steel system with coil springs. Optional was a independent front suspension (IFS) with live rear axle and adaptive electronically-controlled pneumatic system that can detect when a trailer is coupled and level the load. Other load and road changes would also be compensated for. It was designed to complement the optional heavy duty trailer tow package. |
