This one is definitely an oddball. Used to own one, but have never seen one with a trim package such as this. It has side trim, incorrect for a police package, but yet has police spec dog dish hubcaps. Also has no model designation on front fenders. Another first and i have gazed upon a LOT of these cars. That blacked out SS style grill is another mystery.

Wait a second, 440mgnm

Come think of that there is no bright trim at these door-frame and no trim at the rocker panel. The car is already 3 years old at the time of the production. It could be possbility of rear bumper replacement here that may have already had 3 lights wiring at the time of the production.

Here is the best I can find with the 1969 Chevrolet Impala 4-door sedan here: /vehicle_513942-Chevrolet-Impala-1969.html

Don't you think this could be possiblity of 1969 Chevrolet Bel Air Converted to Impala?

Comments are most welcome here :)

Good observations! This prompted me to watch the dvd again, and found something even more strange. The interior door panels keep switching from an Impalas To a Bel Airs! It would seem they possibly used two?... Another theory i have about THIS particular one pictured is that since they shot this film so close to Mexico, that it might possibly be some oddball Mexican export model?

That could be a really good plausable explanation

Something tells me that it could be mongrelized 1969 Chevrolet Bel Air with Impala rear bumper/light combination

Missing the GM headrest. They just slide right out. Owned many a 69-72 Cutlass bench seats with these headrest. I think this car was a police package. Seemed like a strong runner. 427?
