Also this one seems to have front indicators: 1956-1958 1201 [Typ 980]. |

I have usefull information for future from one of the best Polish oldtimers magazine ("Automobilista"). Indicators came with 15th series of typ 955 in late 1954 already. Skoda started early to prepare for new regulations. All cars firstly registered in Czechoslovakia for 1st January 1956 should have front and rear amber light indicators. Typ 980 came in 1956 with new - less elegant but more practical - door handles. -- Last edit: 2010-02-10 17:04:50 |

Also in 1954 the doors became shorter. As I understand, the cs.wiki suggests that new indicators were introduced in the same time with changed doors - after 2 months of break in production in spring 1954. But "Automobilista" perhaps was right, that indicators in fact were introduced few months later - so in late 1954. IIRC, I once did check pics of old Skodas 1200 and some already had new doors, but still didn't have new indicators. -- Last edit: 2015-06-16 15:50:28 |
