A bumper looks rather like 1101 (eg here https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:1948_Skoda_1101_Tudor_type_938_pic4.JPG ) According to Czech Wikipedia, 1102 differed from late 1101 by bumpers (1102 looked like this one Link to "commons.wikimedia.org" ) -- Last edit: 2014-03-09 21:12:10 |

It is very interesitng, they had to update the wiki article in the meantime. So it means that popular info, that grille differed these two models isn't valid anymore. Additonally the article says that 5-ribs grille existed in the 1101 already before the introduction of the 1102. Anyway about the bumpers I have some small doubts. This 1951 brochure shows on the last pic car with vent flaps next to the A-pillars (characterisitc for the 1102 acc to wiki), but in the same time the bumper isn't partly painted in body color. Same brochure shows car without these vents, but with "1102 alike" bumpers... The car in movie doesn't have vent flaps it seems, so it can be the 1101 indeed. This grille was introduced in the 2-door model during the 1948 (rather in later part of this year, as first cars imported to Poland IN 1948 still had the old one) - it is better to consider this as MY 1949 this way. -- Last edit: 2014-03-10 20:00:59 |

...Same problems with transitional cars?... Czech Wiki quotes some books, so it's better than pure Wiki article. By the way: it's an off-topic, but could you identify this Fiat 508? http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Polski-Fiat-508_IMGP0167.jpg (you can mail me pibwl@poczta.onet.pl) |

No sorry I can't. Some PF 508 cabriolet (at least one) is described in this book. I plan to buy it since longer time, but instead I usually take something else about newer cars. -- Last edit: 2014-03-11 19:45:24 |

I should have asked the owner, but only after uploading a photo I've noticed, that this isn't ordinary PF-508 :-) |
