Interesting! It's a Leyland Cub KPO3 with Short Brothers body. In 1943 it was running Country Area bus services for London Transport based in Guildford, so the Blackpool destination is a little out of place. You can see the London garage plate on the side, although the badge on the side has been added for the film. If the registration is BXD659 it's London Transport's C34, if it's BXD669 it's C44. |

I agree with Steve, and am sure its C44 as that bus was painted in the central area red with white window surrounds livery between 1940 and 1948, whilst C34 remained in country area allover green livery. See http://www.countrybus.org/C/Cub.html#country for details. (link updated) -- Last edit: 2012-01-30 12:26:42 (Sunbar) |

I've now seen the movie, it's C44. The fleetnumber C44 is seen clearly in the close up on the door, also a London Transport passenger information poster! |
