GMdesigner ◊ 2013-03-06 18:30	You are right, it is indeed a Diplomat A. And that wood trim is no imitation. Diplomats of the A-Series (1964-1968) had very richly styled interiors with genuine wood trim (walnut veneer) on the doors, floor console, instrument panel (even the ashtray door) and the steering wheel spoke trim. Sadly, Opel cut costs out of the interiors of the B-Series (1969-1977) with cheap looking fake wood film and a host of other disappointing changes. But the Diplomat A was a sumptuously trimmed car.
