62imperial ◊ 2010-09-01 10:58	Club Sedan; in the same scene you can see the rear door handles. This scene with Janet Leigh was a reference to Psycho - note the same license number as the car she drove in that movie, although she's moved up in class from a Custom 300 to a Fairlane!

HunterMan ◊ 2013-10-29 08:04	Yes, this one was not the actual Ford Leigh drove in "Psycho"--that car is actually kept on the "Psycho" set at Universal, and can be sometimes seen outside the Bates Motel when tours go through. This Fairlane is a step up from the Custom...but I love this scene! Wonderful ode to "Psycho", and moment between real-life mother and daughter--the "scream queens"!

There's a 1959 Ford at Universal (it was a '57 in Psycho)... oopsy!
