With the lights on the corners, it has to be a 1968. I can't find any pictures of a '68 Commuter; they must be rare today.

This is a 1970 Mercury Monterey station wagon. In 1969 and 1970 the Monterey featured these large parking lights, while the Marquis Colony Park wagon featured wood paneling, hidden headlights, and smaller parking lights recessed into the front bumper. There are slight differences between the 1969 and 1970 Monterey wagons, such as the grille and the tapering of the front end of the deluxe luggage rack; therefore this photo clearly shows it's a 1970 and not a 1969.
