Ingo ◊ 2010-02-07 16:43	The background-cars seems all to be brand-new Opel Kadett C before delivery, still with the wax on. But one of the line looks wrong, rather as an Alfasud... (behind the 3sat-logo).
cl82 ◊ 2010-02-07 23:30	Several scenes of this episode were filmed at a yard near the Munich Central Railway Station where a huge amount of the new cars sold in the Munich area went by train directly from the factory before they were delivered to the dealers by truck. There was a time when I used to travel to Munich by train a lot, coming from the North. During the last minutes of each trip, this particular site was visible very well from the train. My last trip to Munich by train was ca. 10 years ago. Back then, this yard was still in use and being crammed with countless cars of many manufacturers. I wouldn't be surprised if this quite large yard which is most likely some distribution-center still operates today. By the way, a comparable site is located in Southwestern Germany near a small town called "Kippenheim" which is situated in the so called "Ortenaukreis"(area around Offenburg). A couple of years ago, I used to commute between Heilbronn and Freiburg on a regular basis for two or three years, and whenever the A5 was jammed I tended to drive on the smaller backroad instead which went parallel to the "Auslieferungslager Kippenheim" for at least 2km. Interstingly, the majority of the cars stored there were Fiat products.

Not exactly the highlight of the series, but the scenes which were shot on the yard( which are in pt.1 and pt.6, I think) are quite spectacular as there are brand new Alfas, Fords, Commodores and even Simcas visible, all covered with wax.
