1969, according to the filmmakers, who posted to answer a question about this car on the IMDB message board. Apparently it was a parts car that hadn't run in years, and they bought it for $500 NZD. The modifications were, of course, home made. EDIT: I'm not sure how accurate their information is, though: This appears to be a Cortina Mark III, and as far as I know those were introduced in 1970. -- Last edit: 2009-10-26 06:56:21 |

1969  As I know, this Cortina-model, also the German pendant Taunus [TC1] (nickname "Knudsen-Taunus" due the name of its designer) were released in Summer 1970, so this cannot be a 1969. -- Last edit: 2009-10-26 07:29:06 |
