 This car has a 'C' registration, making it a 1965 model (if the plate is genuine), which would have been brand new at the time, as the episode was filmed in August 1965.

 the reg no. elk 981c is genuine and the car is alive and well because I have owned it for the last 33 years. it is no longer bathroom blue in colour. recently I took it to classic show at Brooklands. it always generates a lot of interest.
