Commander 57 ◊ 2009-10-15 03:08	Upon closer inspection, I believe 1929 can be eliminated: no "knobs" over the headlamps and no fender-mounted parking lamps. But add 1931 as also a possible year, although the wheel centers look more like 1930. I would go with 1930 as year listing pending comment from a period Packard expert.

nzcarnerd ◊ 2009-10-15 09:03	It is a 1930 Packard big eight Sport Phaeton - but whether it is a series 740 Custom Eight or a series 745 Deluxe Eight, I don't know.
pilou ◊ 2009-10-15 09:50	I go for a 1930 Packard Big Eight Custom Sport Phaeton on the 140 1/2 " wheelbase( Seventh series model 740 build august 1929 to august 1930). The DeLuxe series 745 with a wheelbase of 145 1/2 " would appear longer. Seventh series Big Eight Phaetons still had a low windshield that would be raised one inch on the eight series.
