Look at the back window - it has a pillar in the middle. The only 1949 Ford that had this was the wagon, but I can't see any wood. Maybe it's an odd shot, because I didn't know they made non-woody wagons. But it is a wagon. |

I think that pillar you're talking about is just the tree trunk in the background. |

yes, it's the tree. On a wagon, the rear window wouldn't have rounded corners. |

I don't think they had models in 1949. According to my Ford book it was either a 1949 Ford (for base trim) or a 1949 Ford Custom (which is the top of the line model). I think it'd be safe to drop the unknown portion and leave as a 1949 Ford. |

The grey wagon in the foreground is an ultrarare 1957 Pontiac Star Chief Custom Safari 2 door hardtop wagon. It is even visible in another picture. |

Good Afternoon. It's my car. It's a 1949 ford 2 door sedan. I got to hang out on the set while they used it in some background shots in the movie. Amazing experience. |
