This cannot be a La Salle 1940.The taxi here has a one piece windshield.1940 La Salles had all two piece windshields .Hood ornament is not La Salle.1940 La Salle hood mascot was straighter , not incurvated as here .Furthermore the movie is from 1939 and the probability that La Salles were used in big cab fleets is low.I rather think it is a De Soto Airstream Custom Taxicab of 1936 as we have already several on this site . |
