Appears to be a U.S. market non-facelift first gen, which only exists as a 1990-1992 model. |

You are alone with your tears. In Germany Lexus has no reputation and no fan-scene at all. The few left overs of the few sold here were all picked up for the export to Africa. -- Last edit: 2014-10-09 20:05:58 |

I'm sure the engineering is good, but the cars are about as desirable as a dose of Ebola. I'll stick with my Mercedes. -- Last edit: 2014-10-09 21:27:12 |

It's fine if you don't like a car, but that statement is a bit of poor taste. -- Last edit: 2015-03-24 02:30:13 |

Unlike the people who bought this overhyped dog. My Bentley and Mercedes prove I have all the "class" I need, thank you. -- Last edit: 2015-03-02 16:53:02 |

Europeans (especially germans) sounds a bit jealous here. Maybe because Lexus is way better than their overrated and unreliable piece of junk. |

I have so far spent nothing on repairs for my three year old Mercedes. It also does approaching fifty miles on each gallon, try that in the Lexus. My Bentley is now 62 years old and can be forgiven anything. |

Indeed, in one of the worst books about the world's worst cars (The World's Worst Cars by Craig Cheetham) the Nissan Cedric is listed; there's a picture of the interior and the caption says: "Check out this gray-pleated velour interior and ask yourself: Wouldn't you rather have a Mercedes-Benz?" My answer is no, as there are hundreds of boring, dull, everyday Mercs on German roads. The Cedric really sticks out on the highways of my country. -- Last edit: 2015-04-20 15:53:25 |

How sad...and all this hate just because the LS400 was way better than the S Class of the same era and still better than the ugly and "not so reliable" 1991 S class. |

Just look at J.D Power reliability survey (beside many other organization) and you'll see where your favourite brand is ![]() |

Because every Lexus here in UK is driven by men who are even older than me and can only cope with driving at about 30mph. When they reach 90 years they trade the Lexus for a Toyota Corolla. |

Indeed, the mid- and late-1990ies Benzes are unreliable clunkers and rustbuckets - but this doesn't change the fact, that Lexus -although it's said, that they are reliable- don't have any reputation. And not high prices as used cars: Link to "suchen.mobile.de" |
