 Maybe the VIN mantains the same WMI (like Opels for example) also for the ones built abroad? I think I read somewhere that late 205s were mostly built in Spain :think:

 Nowadays yes, but until a certain time they used separate WMI codes, like in this case. Really don't know when did they switch to the unified code :think:
