I have just run through thousands of Volvo trucks, but I couldn't find this one.
I doubt if it's a Volvo.

It is most likely a Volvo-White-GMC.
Here is a picture of a slightly dented cab -- on a different chassis, though.

The white trucks do have a diagonal stripe but they don't have the logo in the middle like volvo. I do think this is a volvo truck.

At that time Volvo owned White and from what I find on the net there must have been a cooperation with GMC. I don't know if 'Volvo-White' or 'Volvo-White-GMC' was an official name.

Maybe they simply rebadged a White truck as "Volvo" ?

I just checked some more sources:
The 'White Truck Manufacturing Ltd.' was taken over by Volvo and the new name was 'Volvo White Truck Corp.' (1981-88). During that time the name 'White' was used.
In 1988 a cooperation between Volvo and GMC started and a new company named 'Volvo GMC Heavy Truck Corp.' emerged in 1989. From then on the new name 'White GMC' was used as the brand name.
In the early 1990s GMC sold their truck division to Volvo. From then on Volvo used the GMC platform and sold it under the names Volvo, White GMC and Autocar.

As this truck looks fairly new I would suggest to use 'Volvo', unless someone finds information that the other two brands used similar grille styles.

• Volvo grille, appeared only in 1997 on formerly White / WhiteGMC models.
WG trucks are hooded models, if I'm not mistaken, so this one can't be one...
