Isn't the red Japanese Wagon on the left worth to mention? For sure something very rare. |

It's a 1977+ Mazda 929 Stasjonsvogn, maybe the same already seen in the movie, and it was not "very" rare in Norway. In fact, it was at the time one the best selling cars in its class. |

Oh, really? In Germany it was hyperrare, I think, the 929 wasn't imported before 1977 or 1978. Mazda, at least all Japanese makes, had been very exotic sights until the late 70ies here. And they had no reputation either, seen just as cheap, small copies of US-cars with ancient, primitive technic. Only the Mazda RX7 and the Datsun Z/ZX-series had a few fans here (for many years, up to the mid-90ies, the clubs for these two models had been the only enthusiast-clubs for Japanese cars in Germany). |
