A hundred times more badass than the boring Transit from the original Danish movie (this is the only thing I did not like about the original movie.

A shame that it gets destroyed even though it was fairly new at the time. :/

Err... Firstly, please take another look at the thumb just before the impact (fifth to last) ;)

Secondly, the van was scrapped ten years later, according to vegvesen.no

Thirdly, the movie did not have a big enough budget to destroy a brand-new expensive van like this.

Are you saying it's a fake one in the impact scene? I can't really tell. :??:

Of course I do ;) I mean, look at it: there are only two "wheels", the ones on the other side aren't even visible, plus the body is way too thin, if it's supposed to be seen from that angle. It looks like a cut-out billboard on wheels (I doubt they're even able to roll). Also, notice how poorly grafted those bumpers are. And if you look at the impact itself, it just shreds apart, it doesn't even appear remotely realistic.

Was available with Chrysler’s Antispin limited-slip differential.

I love those clever names automakers used back then; Antispin, SureGrip, Comfortilt, Turbo Hydra-Matic, TorqueFlite, Traction-Lok, Positraction, Powr-Lok, Ventipane, Vari-Rate, Cruise-O-Matic, Hydra-Boost, Super Turbine, NoSpin, Ultramatic ...

I like the way the buffer punches through the cardboard/chipboard in the last thumbs.

If I may, I think the interior shows it all, as well as the left panel and door: [Image: dodge_van_and_train.jpg]
