 Lovely, the Shell-gas-station. Surely faked, Not realistic, that in the mid-90ies they had still existed with these 60ies-pumps and logo.
There was one Shell-station with original pumps from the 70ies in use until 2 years ago, as I remember, at the end of the A 52, entering the town of Düsseldorf. Now broken down, too. :(



P.S. The clothing of the gas-station-girl is not really *ahem* stylish.

 Hoffentlich sagst du nicht "Es geht sich um...", wenn du Deutsch sprichst. Das ist furchtbar für alle Nicht-Linksrheinischen.

By the way, if you have still relations to that area: I still need a "GK". ;)

 Ich wohnte seit 1970 in Eindhoven, und dann seit 1982 in Amsterdam. Ich habe überhaupt keine Beziehung mehr zu dieser Gegend und kenne auch keinen, der eine Geilenkirchner Nummer hat oder haben könnte. Tut mir Leid.
Ich frage mich übrigens, was "Es geht sich um..." denn bedeuten könnte... Etwa "Es handelt sich um..."? Dann wäre das fast Niederländisch, wir sagen "Het gaat om...", allerdings ohne Reflexivpronomen.

 In der Gegend sagt man "Es geht sich um..", wenn man "Es geht um..." meint. Das zugefügte "sich" macht das Anhören so schlimm...
