I am certain that this is a Daimler, but would be less certain when I suggest about 30 hp and about 1912.

The 1912 30 was of six cylinders- its hard to be sure but the bonnet here seems to suggest a four, and could be 20, 25 or 26hp depending on the year. In 1914 there were both 4 and 6 cylinder 30's - 110 x 130mm and 90 x 130mm cylinders respectively! Identifying a Daimler model from such a picture is very difficult. The enormous headlights are interesting and, I suggest, not British.

Were British Daimlers from this era sold in the US and if so under what name? Daimler in Germany had a similar licensing agreement with Steinway (of piano fame) to produce the "American Mercedes" and Austro-Daimlers were briefly offered as "Maja" after Emil Jellinek's other daughter.

So, as you see, when this car was built in England there was no link with the German Daimler company. I do not know when the American market became lhd generally, but this car has rhd and may not have been new when it crossed the ocean. My assumption would be that the Daimler Co would be happy to sell a car to anyone anywhere, provided they could pay for it.

The major snag would be the lack of a service set-up, but maybe the motor engineers of that time could make the parts needed locally.
