No model name? |

These taillights were used on 1952-1954 Corsair models (in 1952 there was also the Vagabond, 1951 models with a 'continental kit'). |

The car is actually a 1953 Henry J, distinguished by the roundness of the rear bumper. The 1952 looked the same but had a flatter rear bumper. Regarding the omission of a model name, the car has to be a Corsair Deluxe. The 1952-1954 Js were named Corsair for the four cylinder models and Corsair Deluxe for the six cylinder models. Not only did the Corsair Deluxe have a six cylinder engine, it also had bumper gaurds and stainless moulding around the front and rear windsheilds. The car in this photo has both of those attributes. It looks like the same Henry J that is visible in "Men Of Honor." Regarding the link Atom posted - that too is a 1953 Henry J. The way to tell is a '53 (or '54) has a bumper bolt in the center of the rear bumper whereas a '52 has four bumper bolts, two of which have gaurds in them on the Corsair Deluxe. -- Last edit: 2017-01-28 23:19:32 |

Wow, I'm getting a Sandy Dennis in "Up the Down Staircase" vibe from this picture. |
