Gomer is dispatched in a Marine staff car to pick up a general in a downtown hotel and bring him back to the base, and along the way Gomer uses the staff car for numerous good deeds, even taking a troop of Boy Scouts to Disneyland. Needless to say, the car plays a major role in this episode. Near the end of the episode, Sgt. Carter and Colonel Gray take a separate car to town to look for Gomer. But markings indicate it's really the same Dodge, used creatively by the director.
