You mean CGI - this was a short-lived designation and the engines are now AFAIK called Blue DIRECT. Like the diesel CDI now having just the d in their model names, it's not a sales argument anymore, is it Less fuel consumed, due to more precise injection. More complex than conventional injection - requires more exhaust treatment due to increased NOx levels, and will eventually suffer from carbon deposits on the intake valves (additives may help) |
