1979, and it's a rare version, as seen in this brochure from May 1979 (and not 1977 as mentioned). https://www.en.japanclassic.ru/booklets/85-toyota-celica-1977-a40-a50-02.html It's a liftback (or Celica LB as they called it in Japan), pre-facelift, with side stripes and dark wheels. This means either a GT-Rally, but there's no "GT-Rally" label at the end of the stripe, or an ST-EFI, which didn't have a label. And it matches our car. The ST-EFI was only available with an 1.8 litre engine, and that means a TA47 code for a liftback, if I can decypher this correctly. |
