Felix Leiter and his CIA colleague also have a radar screen in their car to track Bond's homing device.

One of my ever favorite cars with no doubt, though i like it even more with the rear wheel half covered, but anyway

That one does not look so good :/ I prefer the previous model, 1961-1963 which is absolutely beautiful :)

Yes that's my favorite generation for it too, as i aid, with the rear wheel half covered :) i like every thunderbird generation though the ones from the eighties nineties dont stand out the rest of the cars from that era as they were not as special, until the last generation which again was nice.

During most of the film this car is missing the rear fender skirt, however after crushing the Lincoln causes them to loose the tracking signal, Felix and his partner decide to return to the farm and you see a brief shot where it does have the fender skirt in place. Just another continuity goof in this film.

This is the same model as the one in Thelma and Louise. My favourite T-Bird is the original 1955 model.

Is it just me or is the front licence plate missing?

The Thelma and Louise car was a '66. I own a '66 convertible.

Disagree!!! This one's my ALL-TIME FAVORITE!!! '61-'63 was BUTT-UGLY Except for the taillights.

The car used in the Miami-shot scenes (supposedly Kentucky) is missing the fender skirts. The last shot (the one showing the car with the fender skirt) was filmed in Kentucky later on, explaining the difference in the vehicles. I'd wager that a close inspection of the Ranchero will show differences too, as at least three were used (one in Miami, for picking up the crushed Lincoln; one for the Kentucky shot, and one in England for the Pinewood ranch scenes).

The last photos on this page document the Kentucky shot and the T-bird with the fender skirts: http://www.sffl.comcastbiz.net/page5.html
