Ddey65, Pontiac did not place it's signature "streaks" atop the hood in 1957. Instead, there were 5 vertical bands on the middle member of the grille/bumper assembly. |

Sure looks like a lot of glass on this car in the rear. Are we sure it's a sedan? |

Yes I am. It's visible in another shot. |

Yes, 1956 Pontiac. From the thumbnail here I would have said it was a 2 door hardtop or maybe a 4 door hardtop with all of the windows down. I don't think we can see enough to be sure which version it is. |

It is the two-door hardtop. The four-door would have a thicker C-pillar. The body styles were shared between Chevrolet and Pontiac; for example: 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Sedan: Link to "local.aaca.org" 1956 Pontiac Star Chief Catalina Sedan (4 door hardtop): http://fullsizepontiacs.com/images/star.jpg -- Last edit: 2009-05-30 10:12:57 |

So let's take this off the unknown list. While we're at it, let's take this '55 Pontiac off the unknown list too: /vehicle_10383-Pontiac-1955.html |

And what model is it then? The one suggested by 58Roadmaster or was it just an example of any '56 Pontiac? |

56 pontiac |

Tough to narrow down the model from the front view. Could be Star Chief, Chieftan, Laurentian, ? am I missing any. Definitely 56 Pontiac. |
