The two worst kinds of drivers, people in luxury 4x4s and people in hideously modified hatchbacks. |

Most of the X5s I see in my home town are driven by the wives of rich guys who use them for going shopping or taking the kids to the kindergarten, mainly less than 2-3 km driving - so totally senseless. And they're bad drivers too. It really pisses me off when the ladies can't park them properly at the supermarket so they waste two parking spaces. It's also the reason why I always avoid our village's narrow main road, these female X5-drivers can't handle it there. And when the bus come from the other direction, it's all over. ![]() It's hopeless talking about these people in their spastic-mobiles (my own term for them). (I wasn't quite sure what the best way to rephrase this sentence was) -- Last edit: 2009-05-15 15:29:47 (G-MANN) |

Yep, it's the same over here, they're all driven by people with more money than sense (or taste in cars). |

Ingo, me and Carchasefanatics were having a chat here /movie.php?id=104804 and he said he liked it when people corrected him with his English. Do you mind if I do it with you? I'll edit your comment so you can see what your sentences should look like, I just think maybe you need a few tips with your English ![]() |

If you want, no problem for me. ![]() Where is the "hump" over here? Yes, I know, my syntax in English is like I do it in German. |

Yes, German syntax is quite different to English syntax. |

More complicated indeed. But a plenty of Germans aren't able to handle their language correctly, not written and not spoken. I'm not a linguist- or a germanistic-scientist, but it's a real pain to read and to listen to these people. And there are many of them. ![]() Due my job in the claim-department I cannot escape of them, but I'm not able to watch talkshows, gameshows or reportages of private TV-stations on TV. It's too disgusting. |
