This Is a 1957 Chrysler New Yorker and I think it is a Convertible. |

I go for a 1957 Chrysler Saratoga. 1957 Chrysler New Yorkers had a second lower side trim spear that joined the upper one above the front wheel arch forming a space that was used as insert for the second color when two-tone was ordered and it would have been visible here.Saratogas had a single side trim spear , Windsors none |

See those chrome 'Fender Guides' on top of the front fenders. Only New Yorkers came with those. Also, looking at a 1957 brochure, only New Yorker offered a convertible. I still think this is a 1957 Chrysler New Yorker. -- Last edit: 2009-05-13 14:00:35 |

Here big dave is right. Despite Saratoga also had "those chrome 'Fender Guides' on top of the front fenders. Only New Yorkers came with those.", in fact there weren't Saratogas Convertibles since Saratoga was sold only in 4-door hardtop; 4-door sedan and 2-door hardtop 1957 Saratoga. On the other hand New Yorker had a '57 Convertible model and was sold in '57 as: 4-door hardtop; 4-door sedan; 2-door hardtop; 4-door Town&Country Wagon and Convetible CoupeSee '57 New Yorker |
