Poor it - a W116, turned into a stretch limo. This was most likely done in AUS and coachbuilders like Hammond, Spanmor or Hadley come into my mind... |

This scene was the reenactment of the creation of the Australian Federal Police (AFP), the current federal police for both Australia and the local police for ACT that occurred on the 19th October 1979. In reality, the AFP was formed as a merger between the Commonwealth Police and the Australian Capital Territory Police, the Federal Narcotics Bureau later merged with the AFP in November 1979. On the 21st December 1979, 118 letters were sent out to the former Federal Narcotics Bureau officers, offering them positions within the AFP. Out of the 118 letters sent out, 84 from the investigative staff were offered roles in the AFP General Police Branch, while 34 of the 118 were to remain in the public service field. The AFP Commissioner, Colin Woods said the 34 agents were going to be assigned to specialized areas of the AFP and those who were not chosen for the AFP General Police Branch were based on the agents' ages, health and the numbers needed to "maintain the AFP career structure". -- Last edit: 2024-03-12 03:00:37 |
