We have another bus listed as "UD Nissan Diesel" make. Should we use that make for this one too? |

I checked, and 'Nissan Diesel' is right. Yesterday I missed, '-' is not needed. And Nissan Diesel dosen't use UD as company name, so UD is not needed too. http://www.nissandiesel.co.jp/e/corporate/data.html Minsei Diesel (former Nissan Diesel) introduced new UD engine lineup in 1955 and 'UD' emblem was started to use at same time. Meaning of 'UD' is the initial of 'Uniflow Scavenging Diesel Engine' (2-stroke diesel) at first. Production of UD engine was ceased in 1973, but emblem of 'UD' had already recognized by the customer as a mark of Nissan Diesel, so the UD emblem is used until now. -- Last edit: 2006-02-21 12:55:30 |
