pilou ◊ 2009-04-23 09:59	It is a 1949 Mercury Station Wagon ( model 79) : the front fender molding strip matches 1949 .If it were a 1951 car , one would see the extension of the grille laterally on the front fender above the bumper , and if it were a 1950 car the larger parking lights under the headlights on the thumbnail picture.The absence of rear wheel fender skirts is not relevant as to the model year .1949 Mercurys could be equipped with them but they may be absent or may have been removed as was often the case.
