In the background is a 1973 Kawasaki Z1 fitted with aftermarket handlebars, mag wheels and twin front discs. From 1974 on Z1s didn't have the motor painted black. |

Yes, only the original Z1 model of 1972-73 had the black painted fins. From the Z1A of 1974 on they reverted to unpainted cylinders. The later Z1-R of 1977-78 used the black fins though. |

The V7 Sport was built from 1972 to sometime in 1974 when it was replaced by the 750S, so this one will be a '72 or '73 model |
