This scene was the reenactment of the murder of John "Jacky" Muller who was shot by an unknown gunman in the driveway of his home at Coogee, NSW on the night of the 6th June 1979. Muller was the father-in-law of SP bookmaker and an associate of George Freeman, Michael Hurley and was allegedly the one who shot Freeman outside his home on the night of the 25th April 1979, six weeks earlier. Freeman survived the shooting and it was suspected that Muller had found out that Freeman was having a affair with Hurley's wife and Muller's step-daughter, Lena Hurley as Hurley was in prison and had went to Freeman's casino where Muller had threaten to kill Freeman if the affair with Hurley's wife didn't stop. At the time of Muller's murder, Freeman was in Noosa, Queensland. -- Last edit: 2022-02-01 15:38:41 |
