In 1957 , there were three different Buick wagons : the Century Caballero Model 69 Estate Wagon ,the Special Riviera Model 49-D Estate Wagon as a hardtop and the Special Estate Wagon Model 49 that had a centerpost.Judging from the slimmer side trim and absence of a ribbed roof as on the Century Caballero , this is a 1957 Buick Special Riviera Estate Wagon Series 40 Model 49-D |

This is Interstate 395 in Arlington, Virginia, near the Pentagon, and looking to the Southwest. The buildings in the background are in the Crystal City neighborhood, which has been built up a lot more since this film was made. The building behind the light pole is a Doubletree Hotel (it's possible it had a different name in 1978) and the structure on top of it is a rotating rooftop lounge offering views of Washington, DC, and the Potomac. |
