Seen few times in the background. I guess it is derivated from real car like for the recent movie "The Curse of the Were-Rabbit". from the unofficial Austin-Morris website..... (with picture http://www.austin-rover.co.uk/index.htm?r6indexf.htm) "To confuse people who may have seen the ADO15 (Mini) prototypes on the road testing, the testing team developed this false front, nicknamed the "orange box". The idea was to make the ADO15 look more like an A30/35 and divert speculation away from what it really was." So there was some basis for something like the "Wrong Trousers" model, even if only on the saloon/sedan as a prototype. |

I can assure you, being the owner of the website mentioned in the previous post, that it was an A35 van in Wrong Trousers. When I asked Nick Park what had made him choose an A35 for the W&G movie, he mentioned that he'd included one in the Wrong Trousers and as an A35 van owner himself, he had wanted to make real use of one in a W&G adventure. Originally W&G were to drive a saloon in their movie, but it quickly became clear that a van would more suit Wallace's inventions. Mark Armé www.flying-a.net |
