No! Why would anyone think this is a 530i? Look at the narrow kidney grille. NO 530i or 540i had a narrow kindney grille! This appears to be a `89-`92 535i, which has this kidney grille and these cross-spoke wheels (some early E34 525i Euro's did have optional 535i style wheels) - so it could be either a Euro 525i or 535i `89-`92 (not a `93-on based on the older mirrors). |

Because there really was a 530i with a narrow grille, although this one was only sold in Europe. It had a 6-cylinder engine (Engine Code: M30B30), with 188hp and was closely related to the one used in the 535i (M30B35) with 211hp. The 530i V8 (M60B30) with 218hp, appeared in 1992 and replaced the 535i, both in Europe and the US. The old 530i R6 was replaced with the updated 525i (M50B25) with now 192hp rather than 170hp. Hp-figures are for Euro-specification, so they may differ a bit from US. This Car seems to be Euro-spec, there are no side-markers for a kickoff.... -- Last edit: 2012-09-03 22:15:20 |
